I was raised with an appreciation of what can grow from the ground. You can grow anything, from trees to flowers to your own food.
My home is in the old Mission Manor neighborhood of West-Central Phoenix. It is called this because of the old Mission Dairy that was on the site. Mission dairy once held the largest dairy herd in Arizona. When it closed, the area was developed into houses in the 1950's, and after the development opened, my family moved in. We have been in then neighborhood since it opened, and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
I fell in loved with what could come from the ground. I feel a satisfaction from what I can grow myself. I loved eating what I have grown myself, and distributing it among friends, family, and neighbors. What better way to eat right then to do it yourself?
On this blog, I will talk about my experiences in growing, and how the process is going. I will keep up with regular updates on what is coming in, and will offer some tips and seedlings and harvest out to you, the community, so you can start your own garden.
